Where we've been and where we're headed

Happy end of February all! Can you believe we’re already heading into the THIRD month of the year 2020?! I feel like the year is already flying by! We’re coming up on one of my favorite times of the year, Read Across America Day/Week & Dr.Suess’s birthday! Some of our favorite stories to read are by Dr.Seuss and our family is that crazy family that never puts the Grinch away! Both my girls read the book and watch the movies all year long. The MK Riverside social media pages (Facebook and Instagram) will have a few fun games and activities too keep your littles busy and be sure to keep and eye on the MK Riverside calendar for fun activities, I'll keep adding them as I find them. Remember to subscribe to the weekly newsletter to keep up to date on local events as well!

Last weekend my kiddos enjoyed time with their grandma at the Riverside Dicken’s Festival, which I highly recommend you take your family to next year! They were so excited for the face painting, tea parties, readings, and lots of fun costumes! Going into a season of homeschool for next school year I’m already planning my lessons around the event If you did get a chance to attend the festival take a minutes share your pictures on my facebook.

I did something super out of character and did a workout with fit4mom Riverside on Presidents Day. It’s been YEARS since I’ve actually worked out, and I could definitely feel it the next couple days! The group was supportive, and all the workouts are easily modified to fit your needs. I didn't feel like I needed to keep up with anyone else. Also, being able to bring your little and not have to worry about daycare to get a workout in was amazing! The first class is free and there are a few different parks and times they run workouts, so you should be able to find something that works for you!
