MK Review: Disney On Ice: Worlds of Enchantment

By by Michelle Knopf May 2, 2019

Disney never ceases to amaze me! Whenever I see the Disney label, every detail is done with precision. Disney On Ice was no different. Worlds of Enchantment includes four Disney stories acted out on the ice, complete with costumes, sets, props, music, and dancing! The audience was initially greeted by Mickey and Minnie (of course!) who helped transition the very different stories we were treated to.

The show began with a reenactment of Toy Story 3 and was surprisingly complete in telling the whole story on ice. Another Disney favorite, The Little Mermaid, was performed, again with most of the story being acted out with the featured music from Disney's original movie, including "Under the Sea" and "Kiss the Girl."

Disney Cars came out next and had all the kids' favorite characters, including Lightning McQueen, Mater, Flo, and Ramon. The cars drove around on the ice and "helped" Mickey and Minnie's car get started. It was a shorter part of the show; they did not retell any of the Cars movies. The finale of the production was Frozen! The famous songs from the movie, the humor of Olaf, the transformation of Arrendelle and Elsa, and the love between two sisters touched the audience just like the movie does!

My family and I saw the show at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario. Parking was easy and cost $15. The arena was well organized and, of course, offered lots of food, goodies, and Disney memorabilia. The show was about two hours, including intermission. I would highly recommend it!
